Jenny Sue was born with a lazy eye or what she likes to call her “travelin’ eye”. Kids at school make fun of her but she thinks her eye is kind of cool. When her teacher sends a note home suggesting she see an ophthalmologist to”fix” her eye Jenny isn’t sure what to expect.

Jenny Sue is a bold and imaginative young girl. She doesn’t let her differences get her down and with the help of her mom she finds a creative way to make being different okay.

My Travelin’ Eye is based on author Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaws’ childhood experiences with strabismus, a condition in which the eyes do not properly align with each other and amblyopia also know as “lazy eye”.

A charming and perfectly illustrated story, My Travelin’Eye will offer inspiration and encouragement to any child with a “difference” of some kind.
